~On September 11, 2001, Dr. Elms Allen, the Medical Director of Winston-Salem's Forsyth Regional Cancer Center, and six of his colleagues decided to commission a sculpture by Jon Kuhn for permanent placement in their new Cancer Center. The artwork would represent the hope and aspirations of cancer patients and the healing abilities of the Cancer Center. This book documents the construction of that piece, Hope and Healing. The text covers a brief history of the artist and explains in detail how the sculpture was created.
